Future Chapter Meetings

As our board met virtually in February, we discussed when our chapter would be ready to resume in-person chapter meetings. The corporate office of ASIS International will not conduct any in-person events until at least June 2021. Any local events held in-person before July 1 will require the chapter and individual attendees to sign liability releases. Because of this, any meetings and professional development events hosted by the Omaha Heartland Chapter before July 1, 2021, will be held online, with the possible exception of the golf tournament.

As our community continues to battle through the pandemic, we also recognize the differing perspectives on in-person gatherings and precautionary measures across the breadth of our membership. To respect the safety and the opinions of all our members, we are considering how we could use blended meetings, combining in-person presentations with online participation for those who are not comfortable meeting in-person, as a way to gradually and safely return to our monthly gatherings in the second half of 2021. If you have preferences about how and when we return to in-person meetings, please send me an email. If any members would like to provide a presentation, please email [email protected].
