In light of the pandemic, ASIS International will not conduct any in-person events until at least June 2021.
Meetings and 
professional development events hosted by the Omaha Heartland Chapter will be held online until then.
The annual GSX Conference planned for Atlanta has also transitioned to an online format.

Join us for an overview of First National Bank’s Corporate Security and Safety operations and a tour of the refreshed Security Operations Center (SOC) presented by Robert Achenbach, Director of Corporate Security & Safety.  Bob will discuss FNB's layered security approach, an overview on current active threats in the banking industry, as well as an overview of the SOC and its duties.

About the Speaker:

Bob Achenbach - CSO & Director, Corporate Security & Safety, First National Bank of Omaha

In 1990, Bob enlisted the United States Army as a Combat Engineer where he attended several schools and received various awards. After his military service, he began his security career in Health Care and later joined law enforcement as a police reserve officer. He spent several years in Nuclear Security and served as a Composite Adversary Team Leader and Field Training Officer where he conducted a variety of force-on-force exercises in the nuclear industry challenging security forces and detection systems. Ultimately, Bob transitioned into security management and as of 2005 serves as Director & CSO of Corporate Security & Safety for First National Bank where his duties extend to more than 170 locations across the Midwest. 

He holds an undergraduate Degree in Criminal Justice Administration and Masters in Security Management, both from Bellevue University; Certified Master Anti-Terrorism Specialist (CMAS) through the Anti-Terrorism Accreditation Board (ATAB) and currently is an Executive Committee member through the Nebraska Infrastructure Protection Committee (NIPC); Board member of the ASIS International Academic & Training Council; Additionally, serves as a Survival Stress and Use of Force Instructor.

Bob has been with FNB for 12 years as the Director of Corporate Security & Safety.

Parking: Please park in the Doubletree Garage that is located up the ramp at 16th & Dodge. FNB will provide parking vouchers. We will first meet at the Main Bank (north side of Dodge), 1620 Dodge St, at the Guard Desk (next to Scooters Coffee). From there you will be escorted to the conference room and later escorted to the Technology Center to tour the SOC.
